The role of humanitarian actors in global governance for AMR

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is affecting humanitarian medical organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) due to a rise in multidrug-resistant organisms. Despite decades of preventive planning, MSF faces challenges in integrating longitudinal AMR planning into emergency responses. Global funding for AMR programming is scarce, and UN member states must include humanitarian perspectives to efficiently allocate funding and address this existential challenge.
